The Moyer Foundation was founded by All-Star MLB pitcher Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen Moyer. The mission of The Moyer Foundation is to help children in distress. Through the support of a giving community, the Foundation has supported over 140 organizations that directly serve the needs of children in severe distress — children with life threatening illnesses or physical limitations, children who are coping with the loss of a loved one, children who are victims of abuse or neglect.
Camp Erin™ is a grief camp created and funded by The Moyer Foundation — designed for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, friend or loved one. It is a weekend-long experience filled with traditional, fun, camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support — facilitated by grief professionals and trained volunteers. The Moyer Foundation partners with local hospice and grief counseling organizations in the communities where the camps exist.
With 18 camps in 12 states, Camp Erin is the largest network of bereavement camps in the country. The Moyer Foundation’s goal is to establish 50 camps nationwide over the next five years.

When Kids4Kids decided upon it's first event, we found that a carnival day for children by children was ideal.
The main objective of Kids4Kids is to raise funds for children and families in need while teaching our own children that, even at their very young ages, they could make a difference in the community.
This is why the chair people for Carnival Day 2008 were our children -- boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 10. They participated in all aspects of event planning and promotion. They decided what activities the day should consist of, including old-fashioned games, walk-around entertainment, great food and sports clinics with athletes and cheerleaders.

The highlight of the event was meeting our very own Philadelphia Phillies Mitch Williams and Jamie Moyer.
Once the event was planned, the children set out to promote it. They traveled to over 10 local schools, appeared on the NBC10 show and created a video interviewing campers at Jamie Moyer’s Camp Erin located in Jamieson PA.
Ashley’s Angels Kids 4 Kids Carnival Day was held on May 17 at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. It was truly a remarkable day and a huge success. Kids4Kids Carnival Day was able to raise over $120,000, with donations made to Jamie’s Moyer Camp Erin and to Palliative Care at The Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.
Through Ashley's Angels Foundation, we have had the good fortune to be able to provide financial assistance to, and raise awareness for, children in need of love and support at critical times in their lives.
Our goal is to continue to make great strides in supporting children and families in need, fortifying their courage with love and hope; helping to make their gift of life a happy one.
